Watching “Live” Worship Services Online

Here are a few tips to help you access online “live” services.

To view our FaceBook service “live,” go to https://www.facebook.com/BroadwayUMC.Maryville.TN

When it is time for the service to begin, the service will begin playing in a new post. If you do not see it playing, “refresh your page and it should appear. When the service begins, you will need to turn up the sound at the bottom of the video to be able to hear the service. This is a default setting of FaceBook. You will need to do it every time you want to view a video.

“Liking” Broadway’s FaceBook page will help you receive a notification about new posts. “Setting a reminder” will give you a notification when the service starts. (You will see a number by the little bell symbol on the top right of FaceBook.) Liking and setting reminders allow you to access the live feed from your notifications.

The advantage of FaceBook live (from your phone) is that it allows you to see what friends are watching with you. Also, you can set up “watch parties” allowing your friends to join in with you.

To view our YouTube service “live,” go to https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJhMqsUjnvJLXOMtdlvUBpw/videos

When it is time for the service to begin, the service will begin with a 2-minute countdown. The sound will start playing when the service begins.

If you subscribe to Broadway’s YouTube page, you can easily access the page from your subscriptions (menu on the right.) You will also receive notifications when new things are posted. If you “set a reminder” for a scheduled service, you will also receive a notification when it goes live.

The advantage of YouTube is that it is the easiest to navigate of the two formats.
