Jim is a lifelong East Tennessean. He grew up in Knoxville, where he currently lives with his wife Megan, and daughter Erin. He spent five years as a Local Pastor in the United Methodist Church, serving churches in Maynardville and Greeneville, Tennessee. During this time, he developed an understanding of, and passion for, the ministry of lay people in the church, and felt God nudging him that direction.
He joined the staff of Camp Wesley Woods in 2007, serving in a number of capacities there. In 2013, Jim’s calling took another turn when he joined the staff of Broadway as Director of Youth Ministries. The youth at Broadway often recognize him as “the guy with the bowtie,” as he is often seen wearing this distinct apparel. Some of Jim’s hobbies include hiking, camping, and grilling out.
